Job summary

Packaging Corporation of America in Concord, NC is seeking a production team member to support a busy manufacturing operation. The role focuses on increasing productivity, reducing downtime and waste, and assisting all jobs on the plant floor while following safety rules.

Candidates should be a High School graduate or GED with a strong attendance record, willing to work overtime and weekends, and able to work second or third shift. Experience in packaging or manufacturing is preferred.

• Willing to work overtime and weekends and second/third shifts.
• Experience in packaging/manufacturing is preferred.
• Excellent communication and teamwork required.

Responsibilities

• Support a manufacturing operation with goals to increase productivity and reduce downtime.
• Assist all jobs on the plant floor and follow safety rules including lock-out/tag-out.
• Maintain shop equipment per 5S standards and perform other duties as assigned.
• May stack parts up to 30 lbs for up to 12 hours.
• Collaborate with production personnel to solve problems with urgency.
