Job summary

BI Incorporated in Boulder, CO is seeking a Manufacturing Systems Engineer to enhance and support manufacturing systems for BI products. You will modify and improve systems, automate processes, and collaborate with IT, engineering and operations to deliver reliable manufacturing solutions.

You should bring experience in manufacturing processes, coding for systems, and strong analytical skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Ability to pass a federal background check and obtain a suitability determination.
• United States citizenship required.
• Must live in the United States 3 of the last 5 years (military and study abroad included).
• Experience in project management.
• Knowledge of Agile software development methodology.
• Source Control: knowledge of change control technologies.
• Understanding of product development lifecycle and multiple methodologies.
• Thorough knowledge of manufacturing processes and standard operation procedure.
• Outstanding technical and analytical skills.
• Relational databases experience, SQL Server 2012 or higher.
• Ability to mentor peers, evaluate technical alternatives.
• Ability to analyze, troubleshoot and resolve complex technical problems.
• Effective communication of technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
• Proficient project management skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Maintain confidentiality with operational databases.
• Ability to work with department software.

Responsibilities

• Serves as systems engineer for manufacturing process and operations.
• Execute manufacturing system modifications as directed by the Lead Process Engineer.
• Identify areas for improvement through process automation.
• Understand and model manufacturing processes; propose improvements.
• Collaborate with Methods, Industrial/Process engineering and IT to implement changes.
• Develop or modify code to meet manufacturing systems requirements.
• Coordinate coding and unit testing standards for manufacturing and operations.
• Coordinate code releases, quality and testing for manufacturing and operations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
