Job summary

General Dynamics Electric Boat is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Systems Engineer to support manufacturing IT systems at EB locations. The role blends forward-deployed engineering with business analysis to align digital tools with production workflows.

The ideal candidate collaborates with manufacturing leadership to deliver measurable improvements in throughput, quality, and efficiency, while deploying robust on-site solutions and enabling digital transformation across business systems.

Qualifications

BS in Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or IT.
5+ years of post-graduate engineering experience in manufacturing operations or technical deployment.

Responsibilities

Bridge between manufacturing operations, business stakeholders, and IT teams.
Analyze business processes and translate needs into scalable technical solutions.
Configure, deploy, and validate software and OT on the factory floor.
Lead cross-functional deployments and drive adoption of new tools.
Travel between regional Electric Boat locations for project work.
