Job summary

Epirus is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to lead the MES development and standardize manufacturing workflow. You will create and implement digital work instructions, enabling efficient production and scalable processes.

Work with an exceptional engineering team and support daily production activities. You will drive manufacturability improvements, implement test automation, and help introduce new product lines while coordinating with test, engineering, and production teams to achieve program

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in manufacturing or process engineering.
• Expert in documenting detailed assembly instructions with 3D models, pictures, diagrams and text.
• Experience with scaling low-volume production to high volume.
• 3D modeling design experience.
• Basic familiarity with MES systems.
• Knowledge of Environmental, Health and Safety elements.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Collaborative; capable of working across all levels of the organization.
• US Citizen and/or Permanent Resident (future security clearance may be required).
• Hands-on experience developing software (e.g., Python).
• Experience with RF products, electromechanical assembly, and test.

Responsibilities

• Set standards for design and manufacturing with cross-functional engineering teams.
• Drive design updates to improve manufacturability.
• Evaluate and implement software automation solutions for test stations.
• Lead in the structuring and evolution of the MES including setup of work center architecture.
• Participate in development of new factory and introduction of new product lines.
• Evaluate non-conformances in hardware testing and implement solutions.
• Develop, demonstrate, and verify new production processes for production readiness.
• Create KPIs and metrics to drive decisions on design and process changes.
• Provide inputs to manufacturing plans and operation strategy; present data to upper management.
• Participate in daily/weekly production meetings and resolve defects and yield discrepancies.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Software engineering or Systems Engineering
