Job summary

Saft America, Inc. is seeking a System Engineer responsible for battery supervisory software, hardware, and integration for Energy Management Systems and Battery Management Systems interface.

The role covers requirements, design, and component selection, with leadership in technical development. Candidate must have a strong background in software/hardware/system design, 10 years of systems experience, and a US citizenship or green card.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in software or electrical engineering or related field with systems engineering experience
  • 10 years systems design experience with electrical systems including controls, sensors, and software
  • System architect for complex systems
  • Aviation certification and battery experience is a plus
  • Must be a US citizen or green card holder

Responsibilities

  • Development and management of the system requirements to meet internal and external needs and allocating those requirements to engineering and other disciplines.
  • Analysis and design of system architecture candidates that meet internal and external needs and evaluate trade studies to identify the optimum system configuration.
  • Writing technical proposal content. Scheduling and costing the development and manufacture of battery systems.
  • Lead the technical development efforts
  • Develop and execute system safety, reliability and risk management.
  • Lead the team to create the battery system design, including Electrical, Software, and Mechanical features
  • Identify and evaluate new technologies for inclusion into next generation systems; including new integrated circuits & architectures, design methods & tools, and build models, simulations & prototypes.
  • Identify opportunities to create products that builds the business
  • Must be a US citizen or green card holder

The System Engineer is responsible for battery supervisory software, hardware, and integration for Energy Management Systems and Battery Management Systems interface. The system engineer is also responsible for overall system requirements, design, and component selection. Provides expertise in software, hardware, system design and analysis, support of technical issues, and review of designs and documentation. MUST BE A US CITIZEN OR GREEN CARD HOLDER

Requirements
  • Bachelors in Software or Electrical engineering, OR Other Engineering Bachelors combined with Systems Engineering experience
  • 10 years systems design experience with electrical systems including controls, sensors, and software.
  • System architect for complex systems
  • Able to judge value of product features and functions to make product decisions that are appealing to customers.
  • Aviation certification and battery experience is a plus.
  • Simulink, Model-Based Design, Visio, Electrical and Electronics Experience.
  • MUST BE A US CITIZEN OR GREEN CARD HOLDER

Salary Range

USD $110,000.00 - USD $160,000.00 /Yr.
