Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Systems Integration Engineers to support our semiconductor facilities in Taylor and Austin, Texas. You will serve as a critical link between proprietary production systems and physical manufacturing execution. The ideal candidate will be an expert in manufacturing systems with a strong interest in AI transformation. Your primary focus will be to troubleshoot factory bottlenecks and optimize throughput, while utilizing modern software tools and AI capabilities to augment employee productivity and operational efficiency. You will work closely with cross-functional teams—including Manufacturing, Systems, Equipment, and Process Engineering—to implement data-driven enhancements in a high-volume production environment.

Work Location and Schedule
  • Primary Base: Taylor, TX
  • Support Model: Dual-site support (Austin & Taylor)
  • Shift: Day shift; Compressed Work Week (12-hour shifts, 3 or 4 days per week)
Role And Responsibilities
Here’s What You’ll Be Responsible For:
  • Systems Troubleshooting & Optimization: Provide technical expertise to resolve system-related issues and eliminate factory bottlenecks. Analyze production workflows to improve tool throughput and overall system performance.
  • Data Analysis & Insight: Collect and interpret data from sensors and automated systems to identify trends and provide actionable insights for informed decision‑making.
  • Process Mapping & Workflow Analysis: Lead the effort to audit and map existing operational workflows. Create detailed process maps to identify redundancies and high‑value opportunities for AI and automation integration.
  • Operational Automation: Analyze daily internal workflows to identify candidates for automation. Design and deploy tools that reduce manual data entry and streamline document routing to increase overall productivity.
  • Collaborative AI Development: Design and deploy production‑grade AI agents and "copilots" that work alongside engineers and technicians to streamline multi‑step operational tasks. This includes leveraging LLM APIs and proprietary data (RAG) to augment human expertise with high‑speed data processing and task orchestration.
  • System Integration & Orchestration: Connect AI agents seamlessly into the existing software stack. Utilize API integrations and function calling to allow AI tools to trigger actions directly within manufacturing systems.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Create and maintain automation reports, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and detailed documentation for all system enhancement requests.
Skills And Qualifications
Here’s What You’ll Need:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 to 5 years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing, or a related field.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Manufacturing & Systems Skills
      • Manufacturing Metrics: Deep understanding of OEE, Utilization, Cycle Time, Throughput, Yield, DPML, SPC, and APC.
      • Industrial Engineering: Practical application of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and FMEA.
      • Software Tools: Proficiency in IDEs such as VS Code and Jupyter Lab.
    • Data Analysis & Visualization
      • Visualization Tools: Proficient in data visualization tools such as Spotfire, Tableau, and/or Power BI to create operational dashboards and executive reports.
      • Analytical Techniques: Strong experience in data mining, statistical analysis, and the ability to translate raw system logs into actionable manufacturing insights.
      • Data Handling: Ability to manipulate large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies within the production line.
    • Software & Automation Skills
      • Core Programming: Proficient in Python with strong fundamentals in Git and structured code.
      • Advanced Automation: Experience with API integration, prompt engineering, and building agents capable of parsing structured JSON outputs to facilitate complex functions.
