Job Summary

Bobrick's Jackson facility is hiring a Toilet Partition / Cubicle (Made‑to‑Order) Manufacturing Supervisor to oversee the production of customized products in a manufacturing environment, ensuring safe operations, high quality, and on‑time delivery. In this role, you will coordinate daily production activities, manage resources effectively, and ensure customer‑specific requirements are met. This is an exempt position reporting to the Division Manager. Success in this role requires a hands‑on leader who is adaptable, resourceful, and capable of motivating and developing a production team. The ideal candidate will thrive in a made‑to‑order manufacturing environment, balancing changing priorities while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and operational performance.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

Ensure all customized products meet defined quality standards and customer specifications. Implement and maintain quality control processes, conduct regular inspections, investigate customer complaints, and drive corrective and preventive actions.

Supervise, lead, and develop production personnel (20‑25 employees in the Toilet Partition / Cubicles Department), including machine operators, assemblers, and support staff. Provide training, coaching, and guidance to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant operations.

Interview, hire, train, schedule, and direct employees to meet production objectives.

Evaluate performance, provide coaching and feedback, recognize achievements, and administer corrective action as needed.

Maintain accurate inventory levels through cycle counting and coordination with Supply Chain to ensure material availability and uninterrupted production flow.

Administer and enforce company rules, policies, and procedures within the department.

Monitor the effectiveness of departmental systems, processes, and procedures, and recommend improvements as needed.

Ensure employees are properly trained and qualified to safely and efficiently perform their assigned duties. Identify training needs and either deliver training directly or coordinate appropriate resources.

Monitor work‑in‑process, inventory levels, project and schedule adherence, work accuracy, and compliance with established procedures.

Support the company’s Quality Policy and corporate quality objectives by executing and directing quality‑related activities. Promote defect prevention through understanding and application of the Four Level Defect Grading System.

Control departmental expenses within approved budgets and support cost‑management initiatives.

Ensure timely and accurate reporting related to job completion, labor tracking, engineering change implementation, and special customer requirements.

Ensure production schedules are achieved and proactively communicate capacity constraints or required schedule adjustments.

Ensure all departmental equipment is properly maintained, safely utilized, and in good working condition, including lift trucks, hand tools, fixtures, and computer/office equipment.

Ensure departmental commitments and deliverables are consistently met.

Support special projects and initiatives as assigned by the Manufacturing Manager.

Utilize approved departmental training modules and provide feedback or recommendations for updates and improvements.

Collaborate closely with other Manufacturing Supervisors and provide cross‑coverage support as needed.
