Our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility and materials laboratory located in Grove City, OH manages the entire life cycle of all our products including supply chain development, research and development, manufacturing, testing and distribution.

Summary

The Manufacturing Supervisor delivers excellent leadership in order to successfully achieve company objectives, maintain a clean work environment, and ensure on-time production of high-quality sputtering targets.

This is a 1st shift position, with working hours of 6:00 am to 2:00 pm, Monday through Friday

Major Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide effective leadership to ensure on-time manufacture of highest quality, cost effective sputtering targets.

  • Drive manufacturing culture by maintaining a positive attitude. Encourage and accept open and honest feedback as well as communicating the feedback to manufacturing management.

  • Lead your shift to maintain and improve a safety culture and 5S environment with a passion for process.

  • Drive process improvement by analysis of measurable metrics. Lead team-based problem-solving efforts to drive performance improvement.

  • Drive training and development of team members through documented development plans.

  • Display authentic leadership through fair and honest feedback on a daily as needed basis in line with the performance review process expectations and deadlines.

  • Work across functional boundaries for the best overall business result.

  • Communicate at a high level across shifts and functions to drive execution of manufacturing objectives.

  • Contribute to and administer company policies and practices.

  • Other related duties.

Education

  • No specific education needed for this position.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or other technical discipline of equivalent combination of education, training and work experience is preferred.

  • 3-5 years of experience in a leadership role, problem solving and process improvements.

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze data (Excel), communicate clear expectations, and commitment to ensure process capability.

  • Exhibit effective organizational, documentation, communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills

  • Experience with manufacturing ERP systems.

  • Working knowledge and understanding of managing flow within manufacturing and applicable lean techniques

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to lift 40 pounds on a regular basis.

  • Frequent bending/twisting required

  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time
