The Production Department seeks a passionate and motivated Operations Leader. This role involves managing daily production activities with a focus on safety and quality, developing a team of direct reports, and supporting the department's KPIs and product delivery goals.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Oversee processes on the production floor and develop team members’ manufacturing capabilities and problem-solving skills.
  • Provide leadership coaching and mentorship, emphasizing people development.
  • Establish and manage visual floor management systems.
  • Achieve production KPIs, visualize production status, and drive continuous improvements.
  • Promote a safety-first work culture.
  • Maintain professionalism, integrity, and respect in all interactions, upholding company values.
  • Lead hiring, recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding efforts.
  • Potentially travel to Japan for knowledge and best practices related to battery manufacturing.
  • Ensure the manufacturing team gains and applies this knowledge.

What You Bring

  • Manufacturing expertise, with a degree or equivalent experience in manufacturing fundamentals.
  • Experience in manufacturing or process industries, preferably with an engineering background.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data analytics.
  • Strong leadership skills, team coaching, and continuous improvement experience.
  • Experience in manpower planning, attendance, and overtime management.
  • Comfort with shop floor operations and problem assessment.
  • Commitment to a respectful and productive work environment.

Added Bonus If You Have

  • Experience with equipment reliability, start-ups, or product launches.
  • Knowledge of battery, cell/module, or similar automated production environments.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles.
