Responsibilities

• Maintain relationships between management and employees and enforce policies.
• Collaborate with Accounting to reconcile and report data.
• Lead routine personnel meetings with production staff.
• Occasional travel to corporate offices, other Atlas plants, customers, or vendors.

Atlas Roof & Wall Insulation – a Division of Atlas Roofing Corporation – specializes in the manufacture of quality engineered Polyiso insulation, specialty products, and accessories. Atlas Roof Insulation & Wall Insulation products lead the industry in Polyiso insulation boards and facer technology and performance in commercial and residential buildings.

Atlas Roofing Roof and Wall Insulation, (a division of Atlas Roofing Corporation), is seeking a Manufacturing Superintendent for the Diboll, TX facility.

Manufacturing Superintendent Primary Responsibilities

• Maintain and grow a safety culture for the plant through Atlas core safety values.
• Supervise production shift supervisors and hourly employees.
• Ensure production line is operated within Atlas specifications.
• Maintain production schedule, adequate inventory levels, capacity plan, and other forecasting techniques.
• Ensure production efficiency targets are met and final product conforms to established quality standards.
• Communicate any technical /process changes to the plant manager.
• Coordinate plant trials on new products, process, or raw material changes
• Maintain proper relationship between management and employees, ensuring that all personnel policies, procedures, and interaction management techniques are followed.
• Work with Accounting Department daily and monthly to reconcile and report data.
• Conduct and lead routine personnel meetings with all production employees/supervisors in the plant.
• Occasional travel to corporate offices, other Atlas plants, customers, or vendors for seminars, meetings, and training.
• Regular, consistent physical attendance

Manufacturing Superintendent Experience

• Five (5) years’ manufacturing or warehousing
• Supervisor and/or management experience

Manufacturing Superintendent Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• PC literate, including Word, Excel, and Email at an Intermediate level.
• Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, detailed product specification manuals, and equipment SOP’s.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to work on mathematical concepts, such as statistical analysis.
• Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to forecasting and other practical situations.
• Ability to learn quickly, retain information and adjust to rapid changes.
• Ability to use advanced communication and interpersonal skills, both oral and written, to communicate with a wide variety of personnel and functional areas.

Manufacturing Superintendent Education, Licenses & Certifications

• An associate degree required. In lieu of degree relevant managerial work experience may be accepted.
• Valid driver’s license

Manufacturing Superintendent Additional Information

• Required to talk and hear frequently.
• Required to sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and use hands to finger, handle or feel; climb stairs and ladders, lift/move 50 pounds, and tolerate working with chemicals and in confined spaces.
• Required to stand and walk; and reach with hands and arms.
• Required to normally, or with corrected glasses or contacts, include have close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and to adjust focus.
• Ability to pass a background check, physical and drug screen that includes marijuana.
