Job summary

GE Vernova in the United States seeks a production planner to coordinate the flow of materials from suppliers and within departments, and to plan and schedule material and production needs.

The role impacts the quality of own work and the team's output, requiring good communication, problem solving, and the ability to adjust sequences as schedules change.

You will manage master planning, optimization of inventory, and collaboration across functions, while upholding safety and compliance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college; or a high school diploma/GED with at least 6 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills and ability to document, plan, and execute programs.
  • Experience coordinating production/material flows and scheduling is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manage master planning, material processes and systems; prepare and update production schedules and purchasing needs.
  • Ensure operational alignment with production plan and KPIs; optimize inventory and drive process improvements.
  • Develop broader technical knowledge and support policy/strategy initiatives; may include mentoring junior team members.
  • May have some autonomy to make defined decisions; resolve issues with technical knowledge within established procedures.
  • Lead or contribute to customer-facing communications and interface between customer and GE when required.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Manage master planning, material processes and systems, prepare and update production schedules and purchasing needs. Ensure operational alignment with production plan and KPIs. Optimize inventory and process improvements.
  • Broadening knowledge of own technical discipline to execute policy/strategy. May include support roles with specialized technical field of knowledge; still acquiring higher level knowledge and skills.
  • Basic understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. Good understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.
  • May have some autonomy to make decisions within a defined framework. Resolves issues in situations that require good technical knowledge and judgment within established procedures. Consults more senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters.
  • A job at this level requires good interpersonal skills and may be required to lead a junior team. For customer facing roles, develops strong customer relationships and serves as the interface between customer and GE. Explains technical information to others.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of experience in Job Family Group(s)/Function(s)).

Relocation Assistance Provided: No

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $68,500.00 and $102,800.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.

Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
