Qualifications

• 2+ years CNC manufacturing experience in an MRP environment.
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, engineering specifications and BOMs.
• Must have excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office and ERP system experience (IFS a plus).
• Must succeed in a dynamic, fast paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage sourcing of machined/fabricated parts and group suppliers by machining capabilities.
• Quote new parts and set up data for Lot Sizes, pricing, and primary supplier in ERP.
• Negotiate with suppliers for parts in same category based on sizes and tooling requirements.
• Track and manage OTD, Quality and SCARs with suppliers.
• Create contracts with suppliers and monitor cost/lead time reductions.
• Analyze parts for annual usages for negotiating purposes.
• Identify back charges and supplier rework processing; perform other duties as assigned.

Salary Range: $75,000.00 To $80,000.00 Annually

Summary:

Experienced in CNC machining, programming, tooling, raw materials, castings and forgings, basic knowledge of metal treatment processes. Manages and source of the machined/fabricated parts. Coordinates and groups CNC required parts by manufacturing processes. Grouping the vendors by machining capabilities. Quote new parts, setting up basic data for Lot Sizes, pricing, and primary supplier.

PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES include the following:

• MRP/ERP System experience for data management/entry functions
• Knowledge of CNC machining.
• Understanding the concept of manufacturing processes
• Knowledge of tooling
• Knowledge of metallurgy and material sizes
• Understanding of assembly requirements and components requirements
• Grouping machined required parts in ERP system depending on manufacturing processes and raw materials
• Grouping suppliers by depending on machining capabilities such CNC travel sizes, chuck sizes, grinding and turning capabilities, EDM requirements
• Quote new/existing parts, setting up correct data on Inventory Part, Purchase Part, and Supplier for Purchase Part in ERP system
• Negotiate with suppliers for same category machined parts depending on sizes and tooling requirements
• Analyze the parts depending on annual usages for negotiating purposes
• Create contracts with suppliers
• Prevent cost increases
• Measure suppliers’ capacity and load balancing
• Track and manage OTD, Quality and SCARs with suppliers
• Identifies, researches, and negotiates cost and lead time reductions both individually on their own initiative and as part of a project team.
• Tracks, manages and processes back charges for return to supplier and supplier rework processing of rejected components.
• Other tasks, duties and projects as may be assigned from time to time.

KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS: Minimal requirements for education, knowledge, and experience:

Education:

High school degree. Bachelor's degree preferred.

Experience:

• 2+ years CNC manufacturing experience in a MRP environment
• Must be able to effectively negotiate price, delivery, and terms to meet quality requirements and production schedule timelines.
• Raw material and machined parts manufacturing knowledge through distribution channels.
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, engineering specifications and bills of material preferred.
• Must have excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office and ERP system experience. IFS experience a plus.
• Must succeed in a dynamic, fast paced environment.

Other:

• ISM or APICS Certifications preferred.

• Work schedule generally consists of 40 hours per week, which may include on-call status, evenings, and/or weekends.
