Job summary

Brilliant® is seeking a Senior Accountant for a manufacturing environment in West Chicago. You will manage month-end close, financial reporting, inventory/cost accounting, and process improvement.

You will partner with operations leadership to drive financial performance, support audits, and contribute to ERP enhancements while upholding GAAP and internal controls. CPA track is a plus but not required.

Salary range is $90,000 to $100,000 with strong benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 3–7+ years of accounting experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and month-end close processes.
• Experience with inventory and cost accounting is highly preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills; ERP experience such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar systems is a plus.
• CPA or CPA track is a plus, but not required.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead key aspects of the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process.
• Prepare and analyze journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements.
• Support inventory accounting, cost accounting, and manufacturing variance analysis.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Partner with operations and plant leadership to improve financial performance and reporting.
• Support internal and external audits and ensure compliance with accounting policies and internal controls.
• Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiencies.
• Assist with special projects and ERP system enhancements as needed.
