Elanco Animal Health is offering a Summer 2027 Manufacturing Scientist/Technical Services Intern position at the Clinton, Indiana plant. You will join the Technical and Manufacturing Sciences team to deliver practical projects reducing analytical variability, or implementing new lab methods, with exposure to diverse experts and site-wide impact.

Your Role: Manufacturing Scientist/ Technical Services Intern – Clinton, Indiana (Summer 2027)

As a Summer 2027 Manufacturing Scientist/Technical Services Intern with Elanco Animal Health, you will be part of the Technical and Manufacturing Sciences team at our Clinton, Indiana manufacturing plant , to deliver a practical solution to reducing analytical variability, a technical project, or implementation of new lab methods. Interns will have exposure to many career path s and diverse subject matter experts as many projects have site-wide impact.

Your Responsibilities:

Understand the manufacturing environment and how to collaborate with different stakeholders to solve problems

Work within cross-functional teams to implement process or lab improvements

Learn about fermentation, product recovery, product finishing, or packaging

Data visualization tool creation/usage and documentation updates

What You Need to Succeed (minimum qualifications):

Education: Currently enrolled in C hemistry, B iochemistry, C hemical E ngineering, M echanical E ngineering, B iomedical E ngineering, or a similar major.

Top Skills: Experience in Microsoft Suites and a willingness to learn

What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications):

Have an interest in using data to solve problems, improving processes, or working in manufacturing

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Strong organizational and time management skills

Must be able to work exceptionally well independently and with minimal supervision

Additional Information:

Travel: 10% - to corporate facility in Indianapolis, IN for opening/closing
