Job summary

Actalent in Carlsbad, CA seeks a detail-oriented Technical Writer I to support the Manufacturing Sciences team. You will investigate, perform root cause analyses, review production documentation and author compliant reports in a regulated manufacturing environment.

The role requires a Science or Engineering degree and experience with GMP documentation, manufacturing records, quality systems, and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science/Engineering or related STEM field.
• Experience reviewing GMP documentation and quality records.
• Knowledge of GMP-regulated manufacturing environments.
• Experience performing investigations and root cause analyses.
• Familiarity with Continuous Improvement, Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
• Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Author and maintain investigation reports and deviation documentation.
• Review batch records and process documentation for trends and improvements.
• Analyze historical manufacturing data to support investigations.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and technical teams to develop procedures.
• Utilize ERP, QMS, and DMS to support investigations and documentation.
• Ensure timely completion of investigations with compliance and quality.
• Support process improvement initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
