Job summary

Crown Equipment Corporation in New Bremen, OH is seeking a Manufacturing Safety Specialist for Plant 3. The role emphasizes compliance with OSHA regulations, accident prevention, and the maintenance of safety programs to protect employees and ensure a safe, compliant plant environment.

The position leads safety training, coordinates incident investigations, conducts safety meetings, and ensures ongoing adherence to all safety and health programs.

Qualifications

• A four-year college degree is preferred or two-year degree along with safety experience.
• Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and/or OSHA certification required.
• Organizational skills required.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point applications.
• Ability to work independently, develop PowerPoint presentations for employees as well as management, and speak in front of large groups.

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor programs that ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Implement, investigate, and maintain accident prevention activities in the plant.
• Maintain safety compliance within the plant.
• Coordinate and conduct safety training.
• Implement, participate in, and maintain plant-based safety teams.
• Coordinate the investigation of safety-related incidents.
• Lead monthly safety-related meetings, review employee surveys, and provide feedback regarding status of employee CI safety suggestions.
• Monitor ongoing legal and regulatory plant compliance with all existing company safety and health programs.

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor programs that ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

• Monitor on-going legal and regulatory plant compliance with all existing company safety and health programs.
  Order safety equipment/supplies.

• Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and/or OSHA certification required.
• Organizational skills required.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point applications.
• Ability to work independently, development of power point presentations for employees as well as management, and speak in front of large groups of people.
• Experience in training lift truck operators a plus and post high school training in safety and/or ergonomics preferred.

Additional Information

• Position located in New Bremen, Ohio - Crown Plant 3.
• 1st Shift – Monday through Friday 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM with 2nd and 3rd shift support as needed.
