Job summary

Anderson Bakery, a Kroger Company, in Anderson, SC, seeks a Lead Safety professional to oversee safety processes, compliance, and continuous improvement across the plant. Qualifications

• Behavioral Based Safety experience is required.
• Experience with regulatory compliance requirements is preferred.
• CRP/First Aid Certification is required.
• OSHA 10 Hour or SafetyTech Training is required.
• Ability to read/interpret safety documents.
• Position level depends on plant size and leadership experience.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects to deadlines.
• Strong analytical and investigative mindset with attention to detail.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide updates to leadership on safety concerns and corrective actions.
• Prepare and submit reports, surveys, and audits for regulatory agencies.
• Develop and maintain the Emergency Response Plan to meet standards.
• Maintain knowledge of FDA/OSHA/EPA/local regulations.
• Administer Respiratory Protection Plan and related trainings.
• Develop and train policies to ensure Kroger safety standards.
• Ensure compliance with Clean Air Act reporting requirements.
• Oversee Sewer and Water permitting actions as needed.
• Gather and submit EPA annual reports (Section 311/312/313).
• Lead investigations of incidents to identify root causes and corrective actions.
• Coach safety teams to improve behavioral and physical safety.
• Conduct internal safety audits and inspections for hazards.
• Align with Kroger Manufacturing Food Safety and Quality Principles.
• Perform essential job functions with or without accommodations.
• Work safely around ingredients and products containing allergens.
