Job summary

Lesjöfors Springs America is seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Quality Technician to support its growing medical segment at the Pittston, PA location. You will inspect materials, record QC data, and work with the production team to prevent scrap while ensuring 100% quality for customers.

The role requires ISO 9001 knowledge with ISO 13485 preferred. Ability to read/write simple instructions and travel up to 5% for training or audits is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in quality/manufacturing or equivalent and manufacturing quality experience.
• High school diploma with 5+ years in quality department in manufacturing accepted.

Responsibilities

• Inspect/test materials, products, and equipment to meet medical device quality standards.
• Record data from QC tests and prepare reports.
• Collaborate with production to identify and correct quality issues and reduce scrap.
• Develop and implement QC procedures, including checklists and testing protocols.
• Perform routine audits of processes to identify quality improvements.
• Provide training and support to production personnel on QC processes.
• Coordinate with engineering and supply chain to ensure quality throughout production.
• Program and operate measurement equipment to assess dimensions and tolerances.
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment and follow company policies.
• Pursue ongoing training to stay updated on industry trends.

Lesjofors Springs America (LSA), a leader in the manufacture of Industrial Power Springs, has an immediate opening for a hands‑on Manufacturing Quality Technician to support its quickly growing medical segment at its Pittston, PA location.

Successful candidates for this position will:

• Inspection/test materials, products, and equipment to ensure they meet demanding quality standards for supply into the medical device industry.
• Record data from quality control tests and prepare reports on findings.
• Work closely with the production team to identify and correct quality issues efficiently, prevent scrap, and ensure 100% quality delivered to our customers.
• Develop and implement quality control procedures, including inspection checklists and testing protocols for the medical production segment.
• Perform routine audits of manufacturing processes and procedures to identify potential quality improvements.
• Provide training and support to production personnel on quality control processes and procedures.
• Collaborate with other departments such as engineering and supply chain to ensure quality standards are met throughout the production process.
• Program and operate measurement and testing equipment to assess product dimensions, tolerances, and performance.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment, following company policies and procedures.
• Continuously improve knowledge and skills through training and education to stay abreast of industry trends and best practices.

Successful candidates for this position will possess the following

• Bachelor’s degree with experience in a quality department of a manufacturing environment,

Or High school diploma or equivalent, with 5+ years of experience in the quality department of a manufacturing environment.

• ISO 9001 knowledge and experience required / ISO 13485 preferred.
• Ability to read/write simple instructions and communicate effectively with team members.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. periodically throughout the day.
• Ability to study and analyze data through SPC.
• Ability to work closely with engineers and production personnel to resolve problems.
• Effective communication and strong computer skills.
• A self-starter to prioritize tasks, follow instruction and work with minimal supervision.
• A strong team player able to perform well in a total quality environment.
• Ability to travel (5%) for training, external audits or other quality improvement activities.

Job Compensation

• The Annual salary is $55-75K USD per year.
