Job summary

MKS Instruments is hiring for an Inspector role where you will partner with Engineering, Tech Ops, Quality, Production, Service and customers to inspect products. You will report to the Sr. Prin Quality Engineer and support incoming material inspections and documentation.

The position requires 2+ years of experience in inspection, familiarity with drawing interpretation, and the ability to use inspection equipment. Benefits include health, 401(k), and paid time off.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of related inspection experience
• IPC 610 and 620 certifications preferred
• Inspection of sheet metal and/or cables & wire assemblies preferred
• Piece part inspection experience
• Experience with Oracle, Agile, MS Office and Copilot preferred
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings; maintain records

Responsibilities

You Will Make an Impact By:

• Performing first detailed inspection of incoming or purged parts, materials, components, assemblies, equipment and document results.
• Coordinate the collection and disposition of purged material.
• Determine or assist in determining methods, sequences and procedures necessary for inspection.
• Works from written procedures, drawings, sketches and specifications.

Skills You Bring:

Completion of high school, vocational training or equivalent is preferred.

• 2+ years of related experience

• Piece part inspection preferred
• Experience with Oracle, Agile, MS Office and Copilot preferred
• Requires inspection experience, an understanding of inspection techniques, reading, writing and intermediate mathematical skills and the ability to use specialized equipment, read difficult instructions, maintain written records, interpret and utilize blueprints and engineering drawings

Compensation and Benefits:

Pay Range: $18.89 - 31.49 per hour. This range is a good faith estimate of the expected salary range for this position, based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience and training, operational and business needs and other considerations permitted by law.At MKS, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role.

Bonus: This position is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, in an amount to be determined by MKS [or as applicable].
