Job summary

Apple seeks a seasoned manufacturing and process engineer to drive quality and engineering readiness for new products from early design through mass production. You will collaborate with design, supply chain and OEM teams to ensure components meet specification, reliability, and scalability targets.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in manufacturing, process engineering, or the development of consumer electronics.
  • Experience in metrology, standard manufacturing quality control practices, and process/manufacturing engineering fundamentals.
  • Experience with mechanical enclosures, castings, plastic parts, injection molding, tooling, jigs, fixtures, or high-volume quality/manufacturing engineering.

Description

Drive quality and engineering readiness for new products, modules and components, including critical modules such as Battery (Li-ion and other chemistries), Camera, Thermal and other subsystems - for iPhones & other Apple products, from early design through mass production. Partner with design, supply chain, and OEM/supplier teams to ensure new products meet specification, reliability, and scalability targets.

Minimum Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience in manufacturing, process engineering, or the development of consumer electronics
  • Experience in metrology, standard manufacturing quality control practices, and process/manufacturing engineering fundamentals
  • Experience with any of the following: mechanical enclosures, castings, plastic parts, injection molding, tooling, jigs, fixtures, or high-volume quality/manufacturing engineering (e.g., Automotive, Consumer Electronics, Medical Devices, etc.)
  • International travel to supplier sites, up to 25%.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Creative problem-solving experience and strong English communication skills
  • Experience developing process quality plans, leading supplier quality audits, and driving corrective actions and failure analysis efforts
  • Project management experience and a deep understanding of problem-solving and process development tools, including Design of Experiments (DoE), root cause analysis, FEA, FMEA, and statistical tools
  • Expertise in GRR, MSA, GD&T practices, metrology, DFMEA, and tolerance analysis
  • Knowledge of reliability methods, quality sampling methodologies, and process validation for high-volume manufacturing
  • Strong communication skills and passion to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment
  • Prior experience in design/manufacturing of components with tight tolerances is a plus
