Base pay range

$75,000.00/yr - $85,000.00/yr

A leading OEM (original equipment manufacturer) in the defense and energy sector is seeking a Quality Engineer to serve as a hands-on quality expert, driving excellence in product performance, customer satisfaction, and compliance with industry standards. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of engineering, systems management, and continuous improvement. This will be a unique opportunity to wear many hats, own the quality system and audits and also work in product development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead root cause analysis, corrective action, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Develop and maintain PPAPs, FMEAs, control plans, and MSA tools
• Support internal and external audits, including ISO compliance and customer audits
• Manage and improve quality documentation systems and controlled documents
• Collaborate with Engineering, Purchasing, and Production to resolve quality issues and customer concerns
• Lead the internal audit team and ensure readiness for all quality system reviews

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field preferred
• Strong understanding of ISO 9001 and quality system standards, AS9100 experience would be a plus.
• Hands-on experience with PPAP, FMEA, MSA, and SPC
• Proven problem-solving skills using root cause analysis and statistical tools
• Effective communicator and cross-functional collaborator
• Experience managing audits and document control systems
