Job summary

SGS Consulting seeks an experienced Manufacturing Project Manager to lead complex PM efforts across multiple North American and Mexican plants. You will drive outsourcing, supplier changes, and QVE initiatives while improving safety, quality, and productivity across metal stamping, sheet metal, bus bar, plastics, and die casting operations.

Qualifications

• Manufacturing PM experience across multiple plants.
• Industrial Engineering background.
• Experience with PM processes in manufacturing across multiple sites.
• Knowledge of Change in Materials/Line Design changes is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support outsourcing, change of supplier and QVE projects within NAM facilities.
• Improve safety, quality, productivity and service in key categories (e.g., Stamping, Sheet Metal, Bus bar, Plastic, Die Casting).
• Coordinate with internal Client groups and external suppliers to close projects.
• Maintain project data in JIRA, i-Project, i-Save and client-defined tools.
• Provide weekly A3 status updates and leadership reviews.

Job Responsibilities

Lead and support outsourcing, change of supplier and QVE projects included in our LTSCP (Long Term Supply Chain Plan) focused on capacity free up and productivity along NAM regional facilities (Mexico / USA / Canada as needed).Lead projects focused in part qualification (Internal to OG Suppliers, OG Suppliers to OG suppliers, Same Supplier), capacity growth, new tooling implementation, etc. while identifying ways to improve safety, quality, productivity and service for the following key categories, but not limited to, Stamping, Sheet Metal, Bus bar, Plastic, & Die Casting.This role will also interact with various internal Client’s groups, along with external suppliers to progress projects to closure.All information related to its activities needs to be uploaded in our current platforms (JIRA, i-Project, i-Save and any other defined by Client according to project needs) based on the frequency defined by the responsible of the program.Deliverables and Report Out Weekly A3 status updates and leadership reviews, including project status at PN level, scope, and timeline.Updates directly in the following tools: JIRA, BOC stage gate meetings to update project status.

Manufacturing Project Management work or supply chain project management work. (NOT IT OR DIGITAL)Industrial Engineering type background overall.Experience with manufacturing setting as a PM and deciding on matters such as change in materials used or line design changeDocumentation and management of changes in plant setup and processes.Bilingual in Spanish & EnglishDrive to work 2 days to El Paso or Mt JulietThis is not an IT PM Role. We are looking for PMs that manage multiple plants and sites, and Client utilizes a process “Quality Value Engineering” (QVE) for making improvements and oversight of plant processes and future state.Knowledge of this process or similar is needed.This person will work projects at multiple plants in North America and Mexico.They will need to be experience in PM work for manufacturing and industrial engineering, across multiple sites.Strong knowledge of PM processes in this field of work.
