Job summary

JR Metal Works LLC is seeking a Project Designer to create and review technical designs that meet customer specifications and internal manufacturing requirements. You will collaborate with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure designs are accurate, manufacturable, and ready for production and installation.

The role focuses on design integrity, process alignment, and continuous improvement across projects, with ongoing opportunities for growth within a fast-paced metal fabrication

Qualifications

• Proficiency in SolidWorks and technical drawing creation.
• Working knowledge of manufacturing processes, tolerancing, and assembly design.
• Ability to interpret customer prints, specifications, and technical requirements.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication with internal teams, customers, and suppliers.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Create and review technical drawings to meet customer specs and internal standards.
• Develop and maintain job travelers for accurate production execution.
• Perform tolerance analysis on critical assemblies to ensure fit and function.
• Meet with suppliers, customers, and project stakeholders to review designs and implement changes.
• Modify and update designs to resolve operating, quality, or production issues.
• Provide installation support to ensure successful implementation of designs.
• Attend team meetings to report progress and plan next steps.
• Maintain documentation and adhere to quality and safety standards.
