As a Manufacturing Process & Equipment Engineering Intern, you’ll help capture critical equipment knowledge, organize technical information, and support continuous improvement efforts across production environments. You’ll gain hands‑on exposure to manufacturing systems, process development, equipment operation, and engineering problem‑solving while contributing to projects used on the factory floor.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Partner cross‑functionally with Process Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Maintenance, and Operations teams to capture and document critical equipment and process knowledge.
  • Develop troubleshooting guides, process flows, setup instructions, recovery procedures, and visual work instructions used by technicians and engineers.
  • Build standardized equipment documentation packages and centralized troubleshooting libraries to improve operational efficiency.
  • Document process configurations, operating parameters, and common failure modes to support faster issue resolution.
  • Audit and improve existing technical documentation for accuracy, usability, and completeness.
  • Identify documentation gaps and create scalable systems for organizing manufacturing knowledge.
  • Support troubleshooting activities and gain exposure to root‑cause analysis and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Analyze process and operational data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
  • Comfortable working with large datasets and analytical tools such as Excel, JMP, Python, or similar platforms.
  • Basic understanding of statistical concepts, including Cp/Cpk, yield analysis, and process variation.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to organize, interpret, and communicate technical information clearly.
  • Curious, hands‑on mindset with interest in manufacturing systems and process improvement.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Prior internship, lab, manufacturing, or data‑analysis experience is a plus, but not required.
Educational Requirements
  • Currently enrolled in a full‑time academic program at an accredited college or university.
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
