Job summary

Nissha Medical Technologies in Colorado Springs is seeking an entry-level Manufacturing Process Engineering Technician I to support process development and molding activities on the shop floor. You will work under supervision to operate injection molding equipment, collect data, and help optimize processes for quality manufacturing.

The role emphasizes practical molding experience, documentation, and collaboration with Production, Quality, and Engineering teams.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot day-to-day molding equipment and process issues on the production floor.
• Assist in creating and revising work instructions and process documentation.
• Perform new mold trials and coordinate follow-up with Toolroom and Metrology.
• Train Production personnel on new or revised molding processes and procedures.
• Coordinate day-to-day process activities with Production, Toolroom, Quality, and other departments.
• Complete time studies and other data collection to support process improvement.
• Support manufacturing operations with job set-ups and troubleshooting as needed.

What You Will Do

The Manufacturing Process Engineering Technician I is an entry-level, hands-on technician position supporting Process Engineering. This position applies practical, floor-level knowledge of injection molding equipment, tooling, and processes to assist Process Engineers with process development, validation, and troubleshooting activities. This role is intended for a candidate with strong operator/technician-level molding experience rather than a formal engineering background, and serves as a bridge between Production and Process Engineering. The Manufacturing Process Engineering Technician I works under the general supervision of a Process Engineer or Manufacturing Engineering Supervisor.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties may be assigned)

• Follow Employee guidelines and Quality System Regulations as defined by Nissha Medical Technologies practices, policies and Standard Operating Procedures to ensure that customer requirements and industry standards and/or regulations are met.

• Demonstrates knowledge and acts in accordance with NMT's Employee Guidelines and applicable quality standards as outlined in NMT's Quality Manual.

• Abide by all safety and security rules set forth by the company and regulatory agencies.

• Set up, operate, and adjust injection molding equipment to support process development, molding trials, process characterization, and process validation activities under the direction of a Process Engineer.

• Assist Engineering with equipment and mold installation qualifications (IQ) and operational qualifications (OQ), including data collection and documentation.

• Support molding process development and characterization studies; record and organize process data for Engineering review.

• Troubleshoot day-to-day molding equipment, tooling, and process issues on the production floor, escalating complex or non-routine problems to Process Engineering.

• Assist in creating and revising work instructions, process documentation, and other manufacturing records under Engineering guidance.

• Perform new mold trials, document results, and coordinate follow-up activities with the Toolroom and Metrology.

• Assist with training Production personnel on new or revised molding processes and procedures.

• Support Engineering with process validation activities, including gathering data and assisting in the preparation of protocols and reports.

• Coordinate day-to-day process activities with Production, Toolroom, Quality, and other departments as needed.

• Complete time studies and other data collection activities to support process improvement efforts.

• Support manufacturing operations with job set-ups and troubleshooting as needed.

• Regular attendance is required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a Medical Device manufacturing environment (preferred).{X}
• Prior experience assisting with process documentation, IQ/OQ activities, or process troubleshooting (preferred).
• Experience in a regulated environment, such as ISO and FDA QSR (preferred).

Compensation & Benefits

The expected salary range for this position is $20.00 – $23.00 per hour. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, qualifications, and geographic location.
