Job summary

Standex International is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to own and stabilize end-to-end manufacturing processes across multiple value streams during ramp-up. You will drive process capability, reduce variation, and serve as the primary technical owner for customer quality issues.

The role emphasizes structured problem-solving, root-cause analysis, and cross-functional collaboration in a fast-paced, startup-like environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Plastics, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent).
• 3-5+ years of hands-on manufacturing process engineering experience.
• Experience with process validation, troubleshooting, and ramp environments.
• Experience with automotive quality methodologies (PPAP, APQP, FMEA, SPC, MSA).
• Strong problem-solving skills in technical manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Establish end-to-end manufacturing process performance for assigned value streams.
• Lead process development, setup, startup, and troubleshooting activities.
• Maintain PFMEA and quality documentation; drive CAPAs.
• Optimize parameters to improve scrap, yield, cycle time, and throughput.
• Lead structured root cause analysis (8D or equivalent) for issues.
• Collaborate with tooling, design, and production teams to improve manufacturability.
• Support quality system development aligned with ISO 9001/IATF 16949 and SPC/MSA.
• Train technicians and operators on process control and problem-solving.
