Job summary

Belcan Corporation in Rockford, IL is seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer (PFMEA & Documentation) to develop and maintain PFMEAs, work instructions, and material handling procedures to support safe, efficient production.

You will collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Production, and Engineering teams to ensure process control, product introductions, and readiness for production, while updating documentation after changes and quality events.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in engineering.
• Experience creating and maintaining PFMEAs.
• Proficiency with Siemens NX CAD or SolidWorks CAD.
• Aerospace manufacturing experience preferred.
• Experience developing manufacturing work instructions and process documentation.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and production workflows.
• Self-starter with the ability to learn quickly and manage multiple priorities.
• US Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Create, maintain, and update PFMEAs for assigned product lines.
• Lead cross-functional PFMEA reviews and risk assessments.
• Update documentation following engineering changes, process improvements, quality events, and customer requirements.
• Develop and maintain work instructions and Shipping Job Instruction Sheets (JIS).
• Ensure documentation accurately reflects manufacturing, packaging, labeling, and shipping requirements.
• Support employee training on updated processes and instructions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve process consistency, quality, and efficiency.

Job Overview:
The Manufacturing Process Engineer (PFMEA & Documentation) is responsible for developing and maintaining manufacturing process documentation, PFMEAs, work instructions, and material handling procedures that support safe, efficient, and standardized production. This role partners with Manufacturing, Quality, Production, and Engineering teams to support process control, product introductions, and ongoing production readiness.
