Job summary

Curia in Albuquerque, NM is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our operations team. This role provides technical leadership for sterile parenteral production within a controlled aseptic environment and partners with cross-functional teams to optimize processes and drive continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate will have a strong engineering foundation, knowledge of cGMP, and the ability to resolve complex manufacturing issues while ensuring safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related engineering field (Mechanical/Biochemical/Chemical).
• 1 year experience in manufacturing environment (preferred).
• 1 year experience in bio/pharmaceutical manufacturing (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day technical and operational leadership for assigned manufacturing shift.
• Lead and support manufacturing operations involving vial preparation, isolator operations, aseptic filling, and vial sealing.
• Ensure production schedules and operational requirements are met through effective coordination of manufacturing activities.
• Train personnel on equipment setup, operation, sanitization, sterilization, and manufacturing processes within cleanroom environments.
• Participate in departmental and site training initiatives to maintain technical competency and support employee development.
• Drive improvements to process flow, safety, and production efficiency by addressing bottlenecks.
• Identify and resolve complex manufacturing issues with quality, engineering, and operations teams.
• Maintain cGMP compliance and proper operation/maintenance of equipment; coordinate sanitation and sterilization in clean rooms.
• Conduct root cause analysis for equipment failures and implement CAPA actions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process enhancement.
• Develop KPIs to monitor equipment reliability and performance; lead reliability improvement projects.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and industry standards related to equipment maintenance.
• Provide technical expertise and support to manufacturing operations; stay informed on industry trends.
