Manufacturing Process Engineer – Blue Ash, OH

The Manufacturing Process Engineer is responsible for the tactical and strategic management of all engineering activities related to the assigned production team. The engineer reports to the engineering leader of the respective value stream. Primary goals include:

  1. Tactical Execution: Manage prioritization and resourcing for projects and problem-solving efforts to improve safety, quality, productivity, and on-time delivery.
  2. Strategic Growth: Drive continuous improvement through problem-solving processes.
  3. People Development: Provide growth opportunities for yourself and team members.
What You Will Do
  • Collaborate with other functions to foster a successful, collaborative work environment.
  • Create and maintain a safe work environment.
  • Provide engineering support to assigned cells, including process and equipment analysis, root cause analysis, and driving equipment reliability and process stability.
  • Define, specify, and communicate quality expectations via standard work, specifications, and work instructions.
  • Ensure engineering solutions meet safety, cost, time, and quality requirements.
  • Assess risks and make decisions with urgency.
  • Use formal problem-solving techniques to resolve complex issues.
  • Manage capital project requests and their implementation.
  • Assist in qualifying new vendors and researching capital equipment.
  • Maintain process documentation and analyze proposed process changes.
  • Apply knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Project Management.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of mechanical manufacturing.
What You Need To Succeed
  • BS or MS in Engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in a machine shop environment.
  • Skills in sheet metal manufacturing are a plus.
