Merit Brass is seeking a Manufacturing Operator to join our Cleveland, OH team on the 1st shift. No prior experience required; on-the-job training provided to help you learn and grow within our manufacturing operation.

You will operate machines, read production tickets, perform quality checks, document results, and help maintain a clean, safe work area. This is a long‑term career opportunity with opportunities for developing new skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; GED accepted.
• Ability to read measuring tools (rulers, micrometers, calipers).
• Basic computer skills and data entry; MS Office helpful.
• Strong attendance, punctuality, and reliability.
• Willingness to learn and grow in a changing environment.

Responsibilities

• Wear and use all required PPE and follow procedures.
• Interpret and verify parts against production tickets.
• Operate machines of varying sizes per production needs.
• Start/end production jobs using the data system.
• Conduct visual and gauge quality inspections approximately every 20 minutes and document results.
• Communicate issues to setup operator or supervisor.
• Maintain clean, organized work area; prep machine for next shift.
• Complete production documentation accurately.
