Job description

Description: Manufacturing Associate

Shift: 2nd Shift 3:10pm to 11:10pm, Media

The production associate has responsibilities to safely perform job functions at the highest level of quality in the processing of media, mesh and elements. Key responsibilities/essential functions include:

  1. Inspecting, cutting, staging, unstaging and laying-up of dynalloy, fibermet and continuous media rolls.
  2. Operating both large and small rolling mills.
  3. Operating continuous Hydrogen furnace and Vacuum furnaces.
  4. Inspecting, trimming and packaging of media products.
  5. Reading and following complex work procedures and schematics or receiving verbal instructions regarding duties to be performed.
  6. Following all EHS and Quality policies and procedures.
  7. Working with team lead, engineers, supervisors, and managers to improve quality and process efficiency.
  8. Other duties as assigned.

Comply with EHS regulations and policies including wearing required PPE. Complete all necessary equipment in related area.

Required Qualifications:

  1. High School Diploma/GED or local equivalent.
  2. 2 years' experience in a heavy manufacturing environment required.
  3. Basic math skills and measuring skills are required.
  4. Accuracy with both calipers and micrometers.
  5. Attention to detail and quality-minded work habits.
  6. Demonstrated ability to communicate with co-workers and leadership.
  7. Ability to lift a maximum of 50 lbs., stand, sit, stoop, bend, walk, reach, squat, kneel, push, and pull for long periods.
  8. Must be able to read and write simple statements.
  9. Ability to make decisions and have sound judgment.

Dress Code: This is a manufacturing facility and safety is our #1 priority. OSHA approved steel toe or composite toe shoes and long pants that cover ankles and legs are required. Safety glasses must be always worn on the production floor. Long pants include jeans, slacks, uniform pants, etc. Sweatpants, shorts, yoga pants, capris, etc., are not permitted. Shirt sleeves must cover the shoulders and may not have offensive wording or images. All clothing must be free from tears, including those designed with such. Shorts, miniskirts, dresses, cropped tops, halter tops, spaghetti straps and open-toed shoes are not permitted.
