Job summary

Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. in Hollis, NH is seeking a Machine Operator - Etch Department to join a precision manufacturing team.

You will verify equipment, prepare etching chemicals, perform chemical changes with PPE, and inspect substrates for photoresist quality and CD values, ensuring clean and accurate results. The role requires reading dimensional drawings, familiarity with ISO/AS standards, and basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework preferred.
• Must be able to read, comprehend, and interpret dimensional drawings.
• Familiarity with AS9100/ISO9001 and industry specs (MIL/IPC).
• Must be a US Citizen or permanent resident per ITAR policy.

Responsibilities

• Verify etching equipment is in proper working condition before using.
• Make-up all etching chemicals per routings and procedures.
• Chemical change-overs using proper PPE.
• Inspect substrates for proper photoresist quality prior to etching.
• Touch up intricate images, holes, slots using a microscope.
• Wet etch substrates using manual and automated methods.
• Verify critical dimensions on substrates using Nikon microscope system.
• Tape test or inspect etched substrates for quality etching.
• Strip photoresist from substrates and inspect 100% for cleanliness.
• Operate Dektak metal thickness measurement system.

Job Location:

Hollis, NH is a small suburb in Southern New Hampshire, an hour north of Boston, MA and conveniently located near other major cities and access points in the New England area. Vishay UltraSource has 27,000 sq. ft of manufacturing space and approximately 85 employees working between two shifts.

What you will be doing:

• Verify etching equipment is in proper working condition before using.
• Make-up all etching chemicals per routings and manufacturing procedures.
• Chemical change-overs using proper PPE
• Inspect substrates for proper photoresist quality prior to etching.
• Touch up intricate images, holes, slots using a hand/foot dispenser and microscope.
• Wet etch substrates using manual and automated methods.
• Verify critical dimensions (CD’s) on substrates as required using Nikon microscope system.
• Tape test or otherwise inspect etched substrates to ensure quality etching.
• Strip photoresist from substrates and inspect 100% for complete cleanliness.
• Operate Dektak metal thickness measurement system

What you will bring along:

• Familiarity with AS9100/ISO9001 and industry specifications such as MIL Standard and/or IPC.
• High School diploma or equivalent required. Some college coursework preferred.
• Previous experience working in a in a cleanroom manufacturing environment preferred.Must be able to read, comprehend, and interpret dimensional drawings.
• Must be able to handle small/fragile substrates.
• Computer proficiency including Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Detail oriented, self-motivated with a strong sense of personal ownership and a team attitude.
• Good visual acuity (lens correction as required).
• Able to perform inspections under microscope.
• Must be a US Citizen or permanent resident in accordance with ITAR Policy.

Pay Range: $19-21/hr
