Job summary

Sheridan is hiring a Manufacturing Operator - Case In Bindery (We’ll Train You!) in Minnesota. 2nd shift 2:30 PM–11:00 PM or 3rd shift 10:30 PM–7:00 AM, full-time with overtime opportunities. You’ll receive hands-on training to run high-speed bindery equipment.

You’ll learn setup, monitor quality, hit daily production goals, and maintain a safe, clean workspace. Prior bindery experience is not required; you’ll be trained.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 18+ years old requirement.
• Mechanically inclined with basic tool use.
• Ability to read decimals, sizes, etc.
• Reliability and teamwork are important.
• Plus: print/bindery or finishing exposure.

Responsibilities

• Learn to operate and set up bindery equipment.
• Keep machines running smoothly and monitor quality.
• Work with a team to hit daily production goals.
• Inspect finished products for quality standards.
• Troubleshoot minor issues to keep production moving.

What You’ll Do

• Learn to operate and set up bindery equipment that encases books in hard cases.
• Keep machines running smoothly by making adjustments and monitoring quality.
• Work as part of a team to hit daily production goals.
• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards.
• Troubleshoot minor issues and keep production moving.
• Follow safety procedures and help maintain a clean, organized workspace.

What We’re Looking For

No bindery experience? No problem—we’ll train you.
We’re looking for people who:

• Are at least 18 years of age.
• Have a High School Diploma, or GED.
• Are mechanically inclined and comfortable using basic tools.
• Can read basic job instructions and measurements (decimals, sizes, etc.)
• Take pride in doing quality work
• Show up reliably and work well with a team.

It’s a plus if you have:

• Print, bindery, or finishing experience
• Experience setting up or adjusting production equipment

Physical & Work Environment

Work is performed in a factory environment with regular exposure to dust, dirt, noise, and the physical hazards of machinery, plus some exposure to fumes, oils, lubricants, and chemicals.

• Safety toe shoes and hearing protection required.
• On your feet for most of the shift
• Ability to lift, carry, push and/or pull 50lbs.
