Job summary

Lonza is seeking a Manufacturing Operator to support the production process, including packaging and materials handling under cGMP conditions. The role requires working 3rd shift: 11:00 PM–7:30 AM, Monday through Friday, in a pharmaceutical environment.

Key duties include raw material dispensing, sampling, media and buffer preparation, packing, troubleshooting, safety and sustainability compliance, and mentoring less experienced workers. HS Diploma or GED and GMP experience are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in a pharmaceutical GMP environment is required.
• Experience with oral solid dosage is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform raw material dispensing, sampling, and media/buffer preparation.
• Assist with packaging and materials handling in the manufacturing area.
• Operate and maintain production equipment; troubleshoot as needed.
• Adhere to Safety and Sustainability requirements and stop work when necessary to ensure safety.
• Mentor less experienced workers and support continuous improvement initiatives.

The Manufacturing Operator is responsible for providing support functions to the manufacturing process, including packaging, materials handling either under cGMP conditions or in compliance with company policies and procedures.

Ability to work 3rd Shift: 11:00PM- 7:30AM Monday through Friday

Key Responsibilities

• Competent in performing activities such as raw material dispensing, sampling, media and buffer preparation, filter installation and sample preparation and submission independently.
• Coordinate and perform activities including receiving and sorting return product and rework.
• Disposal of product in accordance to the local regulations.
• Perform tasks such as packing, materials handling, operate and maintain equipment in the respective areas of work.
• Able to do trouble shooting in respective areas of work.
• Identify areas for improvement and make recommendation.
• Mentor less experienced workers to help them use production equipment or resolve problems.
• Adhere to all defined Safety and Sustainability requirements and expectations and seek clarification whenever Safety and Sustainability requirements and expectations are either unknown or unclear.
• Promptly report identified Safety and Sustainability issues, problems, deficiencies, errors, incidents, and/or opportunities to management and correct where possible
• Stop work where deemed necessary to maintain safety.

Key Requirements

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in a pharmaceutical GMP environment, preferably with oral solid dosage.
