Job description

PL Developments, also known as PLD, is a leading manufacturer, packager, and distributor of over-the-counter (OTC) pharmaceutical products and consumer healthcare goods.

Summary

Under close supervision, individuals in this position will perform a variety of processing duties according to batch record and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in the Manufacturing Gummy department. This is an entry-level position.

Work Schedule

Monday-Friday 2:00pm-10:30pm

Job Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One (1) year of work experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Record keeping and basic math skills
  • Use of different units of measurement (i.e., weight, size, volume)
  • The ability to read, write, and speak English
  • Clear and concise communication, both orally and in writing
  • The ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
Position Responsibilities
  • Report process or equipment problems to supervisor; perform general troubleshooting
  • Ensure batch records, equipment logbooks, and other relevant records are current; perform batch record reconciliation
  • Set up and operate equipment for processing operations
  • Clean and maintain processing rooms and equipment
  • Monitor process and equipment, making necessary adjustments to maintain batch record specifications
  • Monitor product quality
  • Follow established department SOPs and batch record instructions; assist in SOP and batch record revisions
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety rules and regulations
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

Incumbents will be subject to routine periods of sitting, standing, walking, stooping, and climbing. Visual acuity is required to monitor and read. Communication with management, peers, and co-workers is necessary. Occasional lifting of at least 35 pounds may be required. Work environment varies from moderate to loud noise levels depending on machinery. Use of respirators may be necessary, and incumbents may be subject to Pulmonary Function Tests (PFTs).
