Job summary

Clariant SE in Quincy, Florida, is seeking dedicated production operators to oversee SMBE equipment and related processes. You will operate multiple lines, monitor performance against metrics, and maintain safety, quality, and environmental standards across rotating shifts, including nights and weekends.

Successful candidates will have 2–3 years in manufacturing, experience with mechanical/electrical repairs, and familiarity with motorized industrial equipment.

Qualifications

• 2 to 3 years of experience in manufacturing or industrial processes.
• Experience with basic mechanical and electrical repairs preferred.
• Experience with motorized industrial equipment preferred.
• HSD or equivalent; relevant prior work experience may be considered in lieu of education.

Responsibilities

• Operate SMBE equipment safely and efficiently to achieve metric targets and meet product specifications.
• Safely operate and become fully qualified to use Front-End Loader, Crusher, Sulfuric Acid Unloading and Dilution System, Mixer, Extruder, and other SMBE equipment.
• Become fully qualified to perform Level 1 Mechanic tasks for SMBE equipment.
• Work rotating shifts including day, evening, and midnight shifts to support business needs.
• Complete workplace exams, Safe Work Permits, LOTO procedures, and mobile equipment inspections.
• Operate Hi-Vacuum units and perform housekeeping; maintain 5S standards for SMBE.
• Perform lubrication and preventive maintenance (Operator Basic Care).
• Perform other duties as assigned by SMBE Production Managers and Supervisors.

In this role, you will be responsible for operating and monitoring the most important line of the site (SMBE) including equipment to meet production, quality, and metric targets while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, production and environmental standards. You will develop expertise across a wide range of production and mobile equipment, perform mechanical maintenance and operator care, maintain housekeeping, and complete required production and safety documentation.

Working collaboratively with your team across rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, you will help ensure consistent operations and meet production goals.

Responsibilities

• Operate all SMBE equipment safely and efficiently to achieve metric targets and meet product specifications.
• Safely operate and become fully qualified to use the Front-End Loader, Crusher, Sulfuric Acid Unloading and Dilution System, Mixer, Extruder, Heated Impact Mill, Dust Collection and Conveying Equipment, Rail Loading Systems, Storage Silos, Railcar Movers, forklifts, carts, skid-steer loaders, and other equipment used in SMBE.
• Become fully qualified to perform all Level 1 Mechanic tasks for SMBE equipment.
• Work rotating shifts, including 3-shift or 4-shift rotations and 7-day operations. Employees must be available to work day, evening, and midnight shifts as needed to support business needs.
• Complete workplace exams (status of the area at the beginning of the shift), Safe Work Permits, ESLOTO (Lock Out Tag Out procedures), mobile equipment inspections.
• Operate Hi-Vacuum units and perform housekeeping duties in all areas. Maintain 5S standards for SMBE.
• Perform equipment lubrication and preventive maintenance activities (Operator Basic Care) in all work areas.
• Perform other duties assigned by SMBE Production Managers and Supervisors.
