Job summary

KVK Tech, Inc. is hiring Manufacturing Operator Levels I–III to support oral solid dosage production across weighing & blending, encapsulation, coating, and compression. You will follow batch records, SOPs, and GDP to ensure safe and accurate manufacturing.

Starting at an hourly rate between $21.00 and $39.50, depending on experience and function, with opportunities for training and progression to higher operator levels. This is a full-time, on-site role in our Philadelphia area facility.

Qualifications

• Relevant manufacturing experience and technical knowledge appropriate to the operator level.

• Ability to follow written procedures and batch records and perform calculations involving weights, measurements, and material quantities.

Responsibilities

• Perform assigned manufacturing activities according to approved batch records, SOPs, production schedules, and safety requirements.
• Verify material identity, quantities, and status before use and maintain accurate identification and traceability throughout processing.
• Set up, operate, monitor, disassemble, reassemble, and clean manufacturing equipment as trained and authorized.
• Perform and document required in-process checks, monitor operating parameters, and promptly report results outside established limits.
• Complete batch records, equipment logs, and other manufacturing documentation accurately and contemporaneously.
• Perform equipment and room cleaning, product changeovers, and assigned line-clearance activities to prevent mix-ups and cross-contamination.
• Identify equipment malfunctions, process discrepancies, and quality or safety concerns; troubleshoot within approved procedures and elevate issues appropriately.
• Follow applicable gowning, personal protective equipment, hygiene, and material-handling requirements.
• Coordinate with Manufacturing leadership, Quality Assurance, and Maintenance to support production; assist with operator training and process improvements appropriate to the assigned level.

The Manufacturing Operator performs oral solid dosage manufacturing activities in support of safe, accurate, and efficient pharmaceutical production. We are hiring at Manufacturing Operator Levels I, II, and III across Weighing & Blending, Encapsulation, Coating, and Compression.

Responsibilities include operating and cleaning manufacturing equipment, monitoring process parameters, performing required in-process checks, and completing production documentation in accordance with approved batch records, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs), and Good Documentation Practices (GDP). Assignments and the degree of independence expected will reflect the operator’s training, qualifications, and demonstrated proficiency. Experience in all four manufacturing functions is not required.

Key Responsibilities:

What We’re Looking For

Experience & Operator Levels:

Operator levels reflect demonstrated technical proficiency and cross-training across the following manufacturing functions:

• Tier 1 — Weighing & Blending: Weighing and dispensing raw materials and performing blending operations. Weighing & Blending is treated as one combined function.
• Tier 2 — Encapsulation, Coating, and Compression: Operating capsule-filling equipment, performing tablet coating operations, or operating tablet presses. Each is treated as a separate function.

Manufacturing Operator I

• Learning or proficient in Weighing & Blending.
• Performs assigned activities with training and supervision appropriate to demonstrated ability.
• Develops proficiency in equipment operation, cleaning, documentation, and in-process checks; may participate in training within additional functions.

Manufacturing Operator II

• Proficient in Weighing & Blending and at least one Tier 2 function: Encapsulation, Coating, or Compression.
• Independently performs applicable equipment setup, routine operation, cleaning, changeovers, in-process checks, and documentation.
• Performs routine troubleshooting within approved procedures and may assist with training less-experienced operators.

Manufacturing Operator III

• Proficient in Weighing & Blending and at least two Tier 2 functions: Encapsulation, Coating, or Compression.
• Demonstrates advanced technical knowledge and independently performs operations, setups, changeovers, and troubleshooting across qualified functions.
• Serves as a technical resource, supports operator training, and helps resolve recurring process or equipment issues with the appropriate departments.

Proficiency requires the demonstrated ability to perform the applicable function independently, safely, and accurately—not simply prior exposure to the process. Relevant experience will be evaluated during hiring, and employees must complete applicable KVK Tech training and qualification requirements before independently performing assigned activities.

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Compensation

The $21.00–$39.50 per hour range covers Manufacturing Operator Levels I–III across the listed manufacturing functions. The starting hourly rate will be commensurate with years of directly relevant manufacturing experience, operator skill level, and demonstrated technical knowledge and proficiency, including the number and complexity of manufacturing functions the candidate can perform independently. Final title, level, and hourly rate will be determined during the hiring process.
