Job summary

General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems (OTS) seeks a seasoned manufacturing leader to oversee a single facility, directing all production activities to meet schedule, quality and cost targets in a safe environment.

The role requires directing professional staff and supervisors, applying GMP and ERP practices, and driving continuous improvement through metrics, capacity planning, CAM and operations management. Travel up to 25% may be required as part of site coordination and program needs.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree and 7-8 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP/system tools.

Responsibilities

• Directs manufacturing operations and management teams for plants and locations of an organization that support business goals.
• Incorporates the organizational strategy and plans for operational safety, regulatory compliance, quality assurance, and cost control policies and programs in manufacturing processes.
• Monitors production metrics and recommends process improvements, new technologies, and methods to maximize operational efficiency.
• Drives workforce planning activities and approves/ allocates resources based on business priorities.
• Implements long-term plans for facilities, equipment, materials, technology, and workforce resources to maintain manufacturing capacity and processes.
• Leads and directs the work of other managers and has responsibility for personnel actions including hiring, performance management, and termination with concurrence from HR & General Managers.
