Responsibilities

• Analyze manufacturing and program data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities that improve operational performance and support leadership decision‑making.
• Develop and maintain dashboards, scorecards, and automated reports that provide visibility into production, labor, schedule, and KPIs.
• Support Manufacturing Program Managers by providing data analysis, performance reporting, forecasting, and decision support for program execution.
• Identify, recommend, and implement process improvements that increase efficiency, reduce manual effort, and standardize manufacturing workflows.
• Collect, validate, and integrate data from multiple business systems to ensure accurate, timely, and reliable reporting.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, Finance, Scheduling, and Program Management to solve operational challenges.
• Prepare executive-level reports, presentations, and performance metrics for operations reviews and leadership meetings.

Leidos’ Defense Sector / Manufacturing is seeking a Manufacturing Operations Analyst to join our Indirect Fire Protection Capability (IFPC) Team at our Platform Integration Facility located in Huntsville, AL.

Primary Responsibilities

• Analyze manufacturing and program data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities that improve operational performance and support leadership decision‑making.

• Develop and maintain dashboards, scorecards, and automated reports that provide visibility into production, labor, schedule, and key performance indicators (KPIs).

• Support Manufacturing Program Managers by providing data analysis, performance reporting, forecasting, and decision support for program execution.

• Identify, recommend, and implement process improvements that increase efficiency, reduce manual effort, and standardize manufacturing workflows.

• Collect, validate, and integrate data from multiple business systems to ensure accurate, timely, and reliable reporting.

• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, Finance, Scheduling, and Program Management to solve operational challenges and drive cross‑functional initiatives.

• Prepare executive‑level reports, presentations, and performance metrics for operations reviews, program management reviews, and leadership meetings.

• Support continuous improvement and digital transformation initiatives through business intelligence, reporting automation, and data‑driven process optimization.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, Data Analytics, Finance, or a related discipline with 8–12 years of relevant experience; or a Master's degree in a related field with 6–10 years of relevant experience.

• Demonstrated experience supporting manufacturing operations, program management, business operations, or operational excellence in a complex production environment.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience developing dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using Power BI or similar business intelligence tools.

• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, and develop actionable recommendations.

• Experience improving business processes, standardizing workflows, and implementing data‑driven operational improvements.

• Proven ability to communicate effectively with technical and non‑technical stakeholders, including preparing executive‑level reports and presentations.

• Experience working collaboratively across cross‑functional teams, including Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, Finance, and Program Management.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail.

• Must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance OR meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a DoD, aerospace, or defense manufacturing environment.

• Knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM) principles and program performance metrics.

• Experience with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., Costpoint, SAP, Oracle).

• Familiarity with Microsoft Project, Power Automate, Power Apps, SQL, Python, or other analytics and automation tools.

• Lean Six Sigma or other continuous improvement certification.

Pay Range $82,550.00 - $149,225.00
