Job summary

Leidos Defense Systems Sector is seeking a Manufacturing Material Requisitioner in Huntsville, AL. You will plan, quote, and requisition all material components for manufacturing, working with vendors and purchasing to meet deadlines. You’ll handle BOMs for electronic and mechanical parts and communicate status across teams.

The role requires strong MS Office/ERP experience, AS9100 knowledge, and US citizenship with eligibility for a Secret Clearance. Relocation to North Alabama may be needed.

Qualifications

• BS degree or Associates degree with at least 2 years of experience or High School diploma or GED with at least 4 years of relevant experience.
• Detail-oriented with ability to handle multiple tasks.
• Knowledge of production planning and AS9100 quality control principles.
• Experience with MS Office and ERP systems.
• Ability to communicate effectively within a team.
• Resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.
• U.S. Citizen and able to obtain/maintain a Secret Clearance.

Leidos Defense is hiring a Manufacturing Material Requisitioner responsible for planning, quoting, and requisitioning all material components for manufacturing. Candidate will work closely with vendors and purchasing to ensure material purchases will meet deadlines. Candidate should have working knowledge of bills of material for electronic and mechanical components. Strong written and verbal communication and proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications is required.

Primary Responsibilities

• Working with Vendors to obtain quotes, PO status, and delivery schedule

• Evaluate material demand using Costpoint
• Communicate material status to the PC Planning Team
• Communicate material status and issues with Program Managers
• Ensure quality notes are flown down to purchasing on all material requisitions
• Report out at Program Meetings both material status and cost data

Basic Qualifications

• BS degree or Associates degree with at least 2 years of experience or High School diploma or GED with at least 4 years of relevant experience.

• Candidate must be a detail-oriented individual with the ability to handle multiple tasks at any given time.

• Candidate must have demonstrated knowledge of production planning and quality control principles (AS9100).

• Candidate must have experience of MS Office and ERP systems.

• Candidate must have demonstrated experience effectively communicating within a team environment.

• Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.

• Candidate must be a US Citizen and meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Active security clearance

• Material procurement experience in a manufacturing environment (DOD Preferred)

Pay Range:

Pay Range $45,500.00 - $82,250.00
