Job summary

Ultimate Staffing in Camarillo, CA seeks a Manufacturing Manager to lead and optimize all manufacturing operations in a high‑performance environment. You will ensure safe, on‑time production while upholding quality, productivity, and continuous improvement.

You’ll mentor Production Supervisors and Operators and partner with Planning, Quality, and Engineering to meet customer commitments. The ideal candidate has 7+ years in electronics manufacturing, 3+ years in leadership, Lean/Six Sigma

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Business, or related field.
  • Minimum 7 years of manufacturing experience within an electronics manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum 3 years of leadership experience managing supervisors, leads, and production personnel.
  • Strong knowledge of electronic assembly, testing processes, manufacturing operations, and production control systems.
  • Demonstrated success managing production schedules and meeting customer delivery commitments.
  • Experience leading and developing manufacturing teams.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of quality systems and manufacturing best practices.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems and manufacturing reporting tools.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day manufacturing operations to ensure production goals are achieved safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
  • Execute production plans and ensure customer delivery commitments are met.
  • Monitor manufacturing capacity, labor utilization, equipment availability, and workflow performance.
  • Partner with Planning, Supply Chain, Quality, and Engineering teams to support production requirements.
  • Drive schedule attainment and resolve barriers impacting production output, quality, or delivery.
  • Manage Production Supervisors, Area Leads, and Manufacturing personnel.
  • Recruit, train, coach, mentor, and develop employees.
  • Establish performance expectations and accountability across the organization.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and support employee development.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, engagement, safety, and continuous improvement.
  • Track and drive achievement of key manufacturing KPIs, including: Schedule Attainment, On-Time Delivery, Labor Efficiency, Productivity, First Pass Yield, Scrap and Rework Reduction, Throughput, Safety Performance.
  • Analyze production data and implement corrective actions.
  • Prepare operational performance reports for senior leadership.
  • Lead Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Improve throughput, labor efficiency, quality, and productivity.
  • Reduce scrap, rework, waste, and manufacturing cycle times.
  • Support process improvements, automation projects, and operational best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards, work instructions, and manufacturing procedures.
  • Support audits and maintain compliance with applicable industry standards, ISO requirements, and ESD practices.
  • Partner with Quality and Engineering teams to resolve production issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Promote a strong safety culture throughout the manufacturing organization.
  • Ensure compliance with Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) requirements.
  • Support staffing plans, labor allocation strategies, and future capacity planning initiatives.
  • Participate in capital equipment and manufacturing expansion planning.

Position Summary

A growing organization in the electronics manufacturing industry is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Manager to lead and oversee all manufacturing operations within a high-performance production environment. This role is responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and on-time execution of production schedules while maintaining high standards for quality, productivity, employee engagement, and continuous improvement.

The Manufacturing Manager will provide leadership to Production Supervisors, Area Leads, and Manufacturing Operators, and will be accountable for manufacturing performance, labor utilization, production capacity, workforce development, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
Manufacturing Operations
  • Lead day-to-day manufacturing operations to ensure production goals are achieved safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
  • Execute production plans and ensure customer delivery commitments are met.
  • Monitor manufacturing capacity, labor utilization, equipment availability, and workflow performance.
  • Partner with Planning, Supply Chain, Quality, and Engineering teams to support production requirements.

  • Experience with ISO 9001 and IPC standards.
  • Experience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) and production scale-up activities.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics or similar ERP systems.
  • Experience utilizing AI, business intelligence tools, and database technologies to improve operational performance.
Additional Requirements
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work extended hours and weekends when required to support production demands.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States and meet applicable export control requirements.
