Cornerstone Building Brands is hiring a Maintenance Associate in Sidney, OH for a 3rd shift (Sun–Thu 10 PM–6 AM) with overtime as needed. Base pay ranges from $26 to $42 per hour, with benefits starting day one and weekly pay.

The role involves maintenance tasks on manufacturing equipment, installation of piping and systems, and troubleshooting electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components. Strong attention to safety and data logging is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of Manufacturing Maintenance experience.
• Must have working knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical, PLCs, programming and mechanical equipment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly and work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs and emergency maintenance repairs on all manufacturing equipment.
• Install and maintain pipe systems; fabricate piping and components; repair plumbing.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment including steam systems.
• Maintain logs and notes; ensure data accuracy and proper shift handoffs.
• Provide timely, safe service to maintenance customers across production areas.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

This Maintenance Associate is responsible for the execution of all maintenance and assigned projects at the facility. Performs scheduled PM's and emergency maintenance repairs on all manufacturing equipment. Install and manage the upkeep of various pipe equipment and systems,responsible for repairing plumbing, and the duties range from fabricating piping and materials to assembling systems and ensuring they’re running effectively.

Associate will be working on industrial plumbing systems, heating and cooling piping,threading pipe, running pipe, working with steam heat system, troubleshoots, and repairing some electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.

Associate can plan, maintain tooling, and fabricate replacement parts utilizing all fabrication and machining equipment. Performs basic to complex grounds/facilities repairs and ensures accuracy of records and safety in all operations.

• Provide proper, timely service to maintenance customers (production, warehouse, paint line, etc.)
• Be easy to get in touch with, agreeable to ideas and accommodating. React with a sense of urgency
• Provide technical assistance to maintenance customers
• Perform approved maintenance work, specific jobs, preventive maintenance (PM) and work orders as appropriate
• Ensure corrective work orders are written from PM work activities
• Meet work specifications and quality standards for each assignment
• Ensure job completion and quality
• Perform clean as you go
• Ensure housekeeping is better when you finished than when you started
• Begin work at the start of shift and ensure the necessary means to pass on all pertinent information to the next shift
• Maintain all detailed logs and notes to ensure 100% accuracy of data
• Ensure orderly shift changeover and complete briefs are performed
• Perform Preventive and Predictive Maintenance in a safe and efficient manner anddocument the results
• Record and report all daily time distribution
• Follow daily work schedules
• Ensure orderly conduct with respect to company policy regarding
• Identify needed parts to repair equipment and facility
• Complete required paperwork to order new parts and to track existing parts
• Coordinate maintenance of parts inventory with MRO and purchasing personnel
• Seek ways to conserve resources and improve costs and efficiency

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 yearsof Manufacturing Maintenance experience required
• Must have working knowledge of Pneumatics, Hydraulics, Electrical, PLC's, Programing and Mechanical Equipment, Machine BreakDown
• Must be able to distinguish colors and have correctable eyesight and correctable hearing
• Ability to lift up to 50pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist and lift 51 to 100 lbs with assistance
• Must have above average oral and written communication skills and must have the ability to work well with others
• Must be able to handle multiple demands and pressure situations while working in a fast paced production environment
• Position requires walking, standing, climbing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, crawling, bending, twisting
• Work involves high voltage equipment and rapidly moving machinery; constant attention to safe practices is required
• Work in manufacturing plant environment with exposure to equipment noise, temperature extremes, and dust
• Required personal protective equipment, mechanical and electrical tools and or fabrication/machining equipment required to complete assigned task
• Safe work performance is required from each Associate at all times
• Proper discharge of safety responsibilities is an integral part of each associate's performance appraisal
