Job summary

Xylem is seeking a Mechanical/Machine Repair Technician for 2nd shift in Morton Grove, IL to install, maintain, and repair complex machinery and equipment across manufacturing operations.

You will read blueprints, interpret schematics, perform welding and alignment, and complete preventive maintenance with adherence to safety standards. Requires apprenticeship or equivalent, 3–5 years' experience, and ability to work independently or with teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions in English.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
• Completion of a recognized apprenticeship program (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair complex machinery, machine tools, and powered equipment.
• Diagnose and rebuild mechanical components, fabricate or machine replacement parts as needed.
