Abbott, Tipp City, OH, is seeking a Manufacturing, Packaging Maintenance- Operator (PackagingMeOp) to run packaging equipment and provide maintenance support for Abbott Nutrition. This night shift role is based at the Tipp City facility and supports high-speed packaging lines while maintaining quality and safety standards.

You will work in a modern facility, collaborate with Operations Team Members, and train others as needed.

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Two-year mechanical/electrical technical degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Basic computer navigation and familiarity with Microsoft software helpful.

Responsabilidades

• Operate and maintain packaging equipment on the line.
• Repair production equipment and plant utility systems; troubleshoot high-speed filling, packaging, and conveying equipment.
• Read electrical schematics and wire from wiring diagrams; use tools to repair and adjust machines.
• Follow GMPs, plant procedures, and safety rules; document shift activity.
• Lead other operations personnel on jobs and provide on-the-job training (OJT).
• Audit equipment and maintain part lists; manage work orders and stockroom procedures.

What You'll Work On

The Manufacturing,PackagingMaintenance- Operator (PackagingMeOp)role serves as both apackagingoperator andmaintenancetechnician – being responsible forrunningthe equipment as needed to support theOperationsTeam Members, while also providing equipment expertise to maintain, troubleshoot, and perform preventive/demandmaintenance.

• Responsible for implementing and maintaining the effectiveness of the quality system.
• Operate all secondarypackaging equipment
• Perform repairs toproductionequipment and plantutility systems;troubleshootingcomplex, high-speed filling,packagingand conveying equipment; machine adjustments to liquid line seamers, bottle sealers and bottle cappers; adjust timing systems such as rotary sterilizers or tray wrappers for proper operation; ensure proper operation of electrical /mechanicalcomponents and devices (push buttons, switches, timers, solenoids, electrical disconnects, AC and DC motors); troubleshoot and repair filters, taptones, barcode scanners and video-jet ink printers
• Completion of tasks that may include: fabricate guards, etc. out of sheetmetaland Lexan; cutting ofmetalwith a plasma cutter or torch; wire and repairelectric motors; repair basicwiringand replace lighting fixtures and lamps; correctly size fusing, motor overload protection and wire size per National Electric Code (NEC); read electrical schematics and wire directly fromwiring diagrams; use of electrical and precision tools to complete assigned work.
• Follow all plant and department procedures,GMP's and plantsafetyrules.
• Lead other employees including directing otheroperationspersonnel on a job and providing on-the-job training (OJT) for employees new to the department.
• Record and communicate shift activity in an organized manner.
• Properly use the plant work order system and follow all stockroom procedures.
• Audit equipment and develop replacement part lists.

You’ll be accountable for meeting our compliance standards including FDA, OSHA and Abbott policies and procedures.

Shift

This is anight shiftposition from 6:30pm to 7:00am EST, and allows you to have every other weekend off.

The base pay for this position is $20.85 – $41.75 per hour. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
