Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a maintenance mechanic or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems including pumps, boilers and conveyor systems.
• Ability to safely operate forklifts and work with three-phase electrical systems.
• Physical ability to climb ladders and perform manual labor as required.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, install, and repair machinery and equipment with minimal supervision using safe techniques.
• Operate in response to requests by maintenance manager or support personnel and set priorities as required to maximize equipment uptime.
• Participate in preventive and predictive maintenance programs to improve operational uptime and equipment life. Recommend improvements and/or changes to PM systems/tasks when applicable.
• Follow designated work instructions as outline for specific functions. These include but are not limited to; PM work orders, utilizing eMaint CMMS system, continuous improvement tasks, new machine installation set‑ups and changeovers, and repair/refurbish assignments.
• Maintaining and repairing the building and assets both inside and outside the property.
• Document all work in eMaint and send end of shift reports.
• Maintain and secure work tools.
• Clean and maintain work area.
• Perform back‑up for assembly line.
• Provide on‑the‑job training to employees, as needed, for equipment.
• Ensure personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements are met.
• Trained in how to operate all plant equipment: Forklift & Aerial Lift.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by immediate supervisor and management.
