Job summary

Staffmark is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support manufacturing operations at Otay Mesa, CA. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot, and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and production equipment to minimize downtime and ensure safety compliance.

This role requires at least 3 years in facility maintenance, forklift experience, and knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and maintenance programs. Bilingual English/Spanish a plus. OT may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record.
• Reliable transportation with proof of insurance required.
• Minimum 3 years of facility maintenance experience in manufacturing.
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing complex electrical/mechanical production equipment; SMT experience preferred.
• Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and preventive maintenance programs.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and production equipment.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures and complete repairs to reduce downtime.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and repair documentation.
• Perform facility maintenance including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, drywall, painting, and general building repairs.
• Manage MRO inventory and maintenance supplies.
• Coordinate vendor services and obtain quotes for facility projects.
• Ensure proper handling and disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous waste.
• Support janitorial and facility upkeep activities.
• Operate forklifts, power tools, hand tools, drills, and maintenance equipment.
• Maintain compliance with Cal-OSHA regulations and company safety standards.
• Assist with special projects and occasional weekend work as needed.
