Job summary

Owens Corning Rockford IL is seeking Machine Operators with manufacturing experience to safely manage downstream production processes in a fast-paced environment.

You will tend production lines, operate equipment via HMI/PLC interfaces, read scales and tape measures, perform board quality inspections, and use PPE while keeping a clean, 5S workspace. This non-union plant runs about 70 employees on 4 shifts, offering leadership growth and a strong commitment to safety and benefits.

Qualifications

• Good mechanical aptitude and basic math skills.
• Ability to read scales, tape measures and understand measurements.
• Ability to work without direct supervision.

Responsibilities

• Tend production lines and interact with equipment using measurement tools and interfaces.
• Safely operate forklift where required.
• Perform board quality inspections and ensure product meets specs.
• Maintain 5S standards and a clean, safe work environment.
• Follow Owens Corning safety policies and plant rules.
