Job summary

Mural Group is partnering with a global Tier 1 automotive supplier to place a Logistics Manager at their Morganfield, Kentucky facility. You will report directly to the General Manager and own the full logistics and materials function across two plant operations.

You will lead logistics across two plants, supervise a Scheduling Coordinator and a Customer Materials Coordinator, and drive production scheduling, raw material ordering, and carrier management.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of logistics, materials, or supply chain management in a manufacturing environment.
• Direct supervisory experience managing a team.
• Production scheduling and materials planning ownership on an ERP or MRP system (AS400, JD Edwards / JBA, SAP, or equivalent).
• Shipping and receiving management experience including carrier relationships and billing.
• Customer-facing supply chain experience - handling customer inquiries and packaging compliance directly.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead the logistics and materials operation for two plant facilities, including production scheduling and materials planning.
• Oversee raw material ordering, shipping/receiving, and carrier management.
• Manage Customer Materials Coordinator and Scheduling Coordinator directly.
• Review production orders and schedules to set priorities and generate master production schedules.
• Ensure inbound/outbound logistics and packaging compliance meet customer directives.
• Serve as primary contact for customer inquiries and packaging-related issues.

Overview

Mural Group is partnering with a global Tier 1 automotive supplier to place a Logistics Manager at their Morganfield, Kentucky facility. This is a direct-hire, P0 priority search for a plant with immediate need. You will report directly to the General Manager and own the full logistics and materials function across two plant operations.

What You Will Be Doing

You will lead the logistics and materials operation for this facility - including production scheduling, raw material ordering, shipping and receiving oversight, carrier management, and customer packaging compliance. You will manage a Customer Materials Coordinator and a Scheduling Coordinator directly. Day to day you will review production orders and schedules to plan department operations and establish priorities, generate master production schedules using AS400 and JBA, order raw material from the mixing plant and manage delivery schedules, oversee inbound and outbound logistics across both plant operations, monitor carrier performance and ensure correct billing, ensure compliance with customer packaging directives, and serve as the primary contact for customer inquiries and complaints on logistics and packaging matters.
