Job summary

Amcor is seeking a Lining Production Technician to maintain equipment, ensure high quality output, and operate within safety and ISO/SQF standards. You will perform machine setup, tool changes, and troubleshoot glue and conveyance systems in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires strong mechanical aptitude, excellent attendance, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Overtime is often required; starting pay varies with experience and is job-related.

Qualifications

  • Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Excellent attendance and good work history.
  • Must score 62% or higher on the Mechanical Aptitude Test.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to learn high-speed lining machines quickly.
  • Knowledge of lining materials.
  • Must have own tools.
  • Able to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Able to work overtime as needed.
  • Commitment to safety and regulatory requirements.

SUMMARY:

Maintain Lining production equipment to ensure high quality and efficient output in a safe and proficient manner.

SHIFT:

3:30PM - Midnight, Monday - Friday

RESPONSIBILITIES & AUTHORITIES:
  • Maintain productivity and quality output of the Lining machines.

  • Perform tooling changes, set-ups, and troubleshoot Lining support equipment such as glue systems and conveying systems.

  • Remove and install die sets.

  • Accurately complete routine paperwork.

  • Submit work order for repair of equipment beyond ability of department mechanic.

  • Must perform any other assigned duties.

  • Accepts responsibility to comply with all safety, quality, customer, ISO, SQF and any other regulatory requirements.

  • And has the authority to report concerns that could impact these requirements or suggest areas for improvement.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Must have high school diploma or equivalent combination of education/experience.

  • Must have excellent attendance and good work history.

  • Must score 62% or higher on the Mechanical Aptitude Test.

  • Must have good mechanical aptitude and be able to quickly learn the mechanics of high speed lining machines.

  • Must have knowledge of product and Lining materials.

  • Must have own tools.

  • Capable of physical mobility including walking, sitting, bending, climbing, twisting, standing, pushing, pulling and lifting/moving (up to 50 pounds).

  • Able to work in a production environment, recognizing various sounds and alarms.

  • Must be able to work overtime as needed.

  • Must perform all duties in a safe and effective manner.

The starting rate of pay for this position is expected to be $23; however, starting pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills and experience between $22 and $25.
