Job summary

Legrand North America is seeking a Continuous Improvement / Manufacturing Engineer to join the Data Center Power & Control Team in Farmingdale, NY. The role focuses on designing, improving, and maintaining manufacturing processes, with emphasis on efficiency and safety.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering and has 4+ years in CI or manufacturing engineering, with preferred metal fabrication experience. Travel may be minimal.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering or related field with relevant experience.
  • 4+ years of experience in continuous improvement or manufacturing engineering.
  • Metal fabrication experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Design, improve, maintain, and implement manufacturing processes.
  • Plan sequences of operations and layouts to improve efficiency.
  • Train maintenance and production personnel on new procedures.
  • Maintain process documentation.
  • Establish preventive maintenance schedules for all processes and equipment.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing to improve safety, cost, ergonomics, quality, and process capability.
  • Monitor safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance and take corrective actions.
